“Diffused energies. Emilia Romagna a heritage of culture and humanity” is a campaign designed to raise awareness organised by the Emilia-Romagna region. It will include meetings, conventions, exhibitions, guided tours and easy access initiatives for certain categories of the population, staged in various cities of the Region and related to the various aspects and wide range of assets and activities associated with the cultural heritage of the region.
“Activating culture. The meaning and the value ”
Bologna, October 8th and 9th
Two meetings addressed to administrators, cultural operators, students, entrepreneurs, information professionals and citizens, on strategies to support culture and cultural heritage in public policies for the promotion of growth and social and economic development of Italy and Europe.
The first conference conducted by the radio journalist Marino Sinibaldi, Director of Radio 3 RAI, opens with a speech by the eminent semiotician Paolo Fabbri who will introduce the theme with a reflection on how “making cultural works work up”, and how it is necessary to activate them through a specific and original implementation allowing their transmission and at the same time increasing their cultural and economic value.
This is followed by a first panel of political nature, attended by the President of the Emilia-Romagna Region Stefano Bonaccini, the regional Councilor for Culture Massimo Mezzetti and high representatives of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the European Commission, which will focus on the role of culture in the relationship between European peoples and not only, in the construction of an European identity and on culture as a great mediator at international level.
The second and third panels conducted by the journalist and essayist Pierfrancesco Pacoda will focus on the different ways of supporting culture in the 21st century and on music, also to examine the choice of the Region to increase the resources for culture (+ 100% in 4 years!) and in particular the recent laws on the promotion of cinema and music and the one of the European Commission, which is launching the Preparatory Action Music Moves Europe within the framework of Creative Europe. Together with other artists and cultural operators, the panels will be attended by dancer and choreographer Dominique Hervieu, Director of the Maison de la Danse of Lyon “European Production Pole” and by Michelina Borsari former Scientific Director of the Consortium for the Festival of Philosophy of Modena.
Finally, the meeting on October 9th will focus on the activation of cultural heritage through new technologies, such as the project Tourer.it – Explore the Cultural Heritage of Emilia-Romagna, by the Emilia-Romagna Regional Secretariat of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities.
