Pisa’s ancient ships

From 03/12/2017 to 31/12/2018, Pisa

Between 1998 and 2016, thirty Roman ships and their cargos were excavated and restored on the outskirts of Pisa. One of the most important archaeological discoveries of the last 20 years, now visible thanks to the extraordinary opportunity of visiting a museum still under construction, in Pisa’s Medicean Arsenals. 

Throughout 2018, guided tours of the Museum will take place, accompanied by the archaeologists and restorers of the Archaeological Cooperative who carried out the excavation and restoration of this amazing discovery.
Ticket-paying visitors will enter in groups of 25 at a time.
