Augusta Open Library
From 15/10/2018 to 31/03/2019, Perugia
The Digital Library Augusta of Perugia includes 130,000 pages in high resolution of printed texts and illuminated manuscripts, evidence of Europe’s cross-cultural sources and roots. A new interactive web portal, compatible with any browser and device, will make the library’s resources accessible to the public.
Among the resources accessible on the portal, the 12th century Atlantic Bible, evidence of the Gregorian Reform; precious 14th century copies of the Divine Comedy; the Matricole delle Arti di Perugia, the statutes of the Guilds associations in medieval Italian cities; and Maps for the navigation of the Mediterranean coasts and the United Kingdom dating back to 1512.
The digital consultation of the library’s resources is complemented by the online assistance of reference librarians.
