Heritage, Culture and Community in the Middle Lands of the Val Grande National Park.
From 01/01/2018 to 31/07/2018, Val d'Ossola and Valle Intrasca
Comuniterrae is a cultural project aimed at enhancing and promoting local identity among the communities situated in the “Terre di Mezzo” within the Val Grande National Park. Its goal is to identify shared aspects of local heritage and then to reinforce and valorise them through cultural exchange activities between different areas, and by encouraging the development of sustainable tourism.
Here, having concluding the first phase of collective contributions to the construction of the Community Map of the Terre di Mezzo, the goal for 2018 is to further explore the issues that have emerged. This will involve the creation of a digital archive of intangible elements, and cultural exchanges between the 10 local communities through a “patrimonial walks” project, where locals illustrate their territory to visitors.
