The Week of Planet Earth

Italy discovers earth sciences.

From 14/10/2018 to 21/10/2018, In all regions of Italy

The “Week of Planet Earth” is an educational programme that, through knowledge and education, aims at protecting and preserving the beauty of the invaluable and exceptionally varied natural heritage of Italy and its geology in particular. The programme draws the young to science and inspires them with enthusiasm for research and scientific discovery, promoting respect for the environment and care for the region, raising public awareness on natural dangers and encouraging cultural tourism sensitive to environmental values.

The 2018 edition, the 6th, will focus on the European Year of Cultural Heritage: the programme will focus on geowinds with a link to this subject. “Nature and landscape” are indeed expressions of natural heritage.
